OUR CIRCULAR APPROACH
To reduce our environmental impact as much as possible, we have designed all our packaging – garment bags, capes, hangers, tissue paper, paper bags – in line with the principles of the circular economy.
Our approach is based on four pillars:
- Favour recycled or upcycled materials
- Avoid single-use plastics
- Promote the reuse of materials where possible
- Limit our waste products
OUR SUSTAINABLE CAPES AND GARMENT BAGS
To remove plastic packaging from our production cycle, we recycle organza off cuts to create elegant and durable, protective capes. These are available on consignment and via direct sale.
Beautiful, high-end garment bags, made of BCI woven cotton are also available on consignment and via direct sale in our London boutique.
OUR RECYLCED AND REUSABLE HANGERS
Traditional metal hangers are extremely hard to recycle and often overwhelm recycling systems. So, at La Sirène, we have developed hangers made from 100% recycled paper. Made in Italy, our sturdy hangers are designed to last. We strongly encourage clients to bring them back for us to reuse, before recycling them alongside paper and cardboard in the usual way (disposing it in a yellow bin).
OUR PAPER BAGS
To ensure that clothes are fully protected while travelling, we offer our clients paper bags made from FSC-certified, 40% recycled paper. These bags, designed to last and be reused as much as possible, are also recyclable. *
